Stale Bread Recipes
Bread Roasting: Cut 1 piece of stale bread into pieces. Fry in a pan with 125 g margarine. Add a cup of cold water to the bread. Cover the pot and cook for 5 minutes. Kalacus: Cut the stale bread into cubes. Fry 1 onion in oil. Add the yoghurt and water, which you have brought to the consistency of buttermilk by shaking, to the onion. After boiling for a few minutes, pour the mixture over the chopped stale bread in the deep bowl.
Bread Meatballs: Crush stale bread and moisten it with water. Add half a mold of hard cheese, 2 grated onions, 3 eggs, 1 coffee cup of olive oil and 1 tablespoon of chili pepper. Knead the dough well and form meatballs by rolling them. Dip the meatballs first in the breadcrumbs, then in the egg white and fry.
Fig and Honey Bread Pie: Crush the stale bread in a bowl and soften it with milk. Cut the figs into slices. Mix 4 eggs, 2 spoons of butter, honey and milk bread. Add the fig slices to the mixture. Spread the mixture on greaseproof paper in an oven tin. Bake for 1 hour in a preheated 180 degree oven. Serve with whipped cream or cream.
Banana Toasted Bread Balls: Cut the bread into pieces and soften with milk. Mix the milk bread, 2 scoops of granulated sugar, 1 egg yolk, 1 teaspoon of vanilla and half of the pistachios. Boil 3.5 tablespoons of sugar, 2 tablespoons of water and 3.5 tablespoons of butter in another pot. Make balls of the mortar you prepared and add it to the sugary mixture. Fry the dough until it turns golden on all sides. Thinly slice the bananas and serve with the fried dough balls.
Onion Soup: Chop the onions in moon shape and fry them in oil. Add 1 tablespoon of flour, salt, black pepper, 10 glasses of broth and boil for 30 minutes on low heat. On the other hand, put the stale bread you cut into cubes into it. Serve with grated Gruyere cheese on top.
Stuffed Onions with Meat: Boil the onions in salted water for 20 minutes. Crush the insides of stale bread into 250 g of minced meat and add parsley, salt, pepper and mix. Take out the insides of the onions in several layers and fill in the mortar you prepared. Place the onions upright in the pot. Adding a glass of water and oil, cook for 20 minutes over medium heat.
Bread with Anchovy: Lightly toast the stale bread on which you have rubbed garlic and olive oil in the oven. Then put tomatoes, olive paste and thin slices of cheddar cheese on them. Bake in the oven for 7-8 minutes until the cheeses are melted. Steam the pickled anchovies in a pan. Arrange the anchovies on the toasted bread and serve with plenty of dill.
Meat Bread Pastry: Form your dough with a mixture of 3 glasses of flour, soaked stale bread slices, 1 tea glass of water and salt. In another pot, fry 200 g of ground beef with olive oil. Add 2 chopped onions, salt, pepper, parsley and prepare the inside of the pastry. Roll out your dough to the size you want and fill it with mortar. Spread butter on your pastries that you have closed in a D shape and bake.
Tarator Sauce: Pass the soaked bread crumbs and walnuts through the mixer. Add 2 cloves of garlic, salt, red pepper and 1 coffee cup of lemon juice. Add water and mix until it reaches the consistency of yogurt.
Breakfast Mixed Sauce: Cut stale bread into small pieces or pass in a food processor. Add white cheese, tomato/pepper paste, walnut kernels, black pepper, red pepper, garlic, olive oil according to your taste and mix.
Alternative Ravioli: Cut stale bread into small pieces. Prepare a sauce consisting of tomato paste, tomato, oil and spices. Pour the sauce over the bread and serve with garlic yogurt.
Toasted Mushrooms: Mash 2 anchovy fillets with a fork; Mix with olive oil and 2 cloves of garlic. Fry the mixture lightly. Add 200 g of thinly sliced mushrooms, 3 tomatoes, salt and pepper to the mixture and continue frying. In another pan, fry the sliced stale bread in oil. Pour the mixture over the bread and serve.
Mini Pizzas: Prepare a mixture of cheese, pepper, parsley, paprika and an egg. Spread the mixture on sliced stale bread and toast in the oven. If you wish, you can enrich your mixture with ground meat, sausage, sausage or various spices.
Crispy Omelet: Whisk milk and eggs. You can either dip the stale bread into the mixture and fry it, or leave it in the mixture and cook it like an omelet. You can add any material you want in it.
